The backdrop offers a dusty rock element, with licorice, dried orange peel, and black raspberry. The palate is poised and fleshy yet feels expansive, and it moves with elegance and lift that belie its 14.5% ABV. Long, spicy, and rich, showcasing the longstanding history of Garnacha in the area, coupled with the craft of the legendary Rene Barbier. Absolutely delicious. Recommended for fans of California red wine.
