Caparone Winery "Estate Grown" Nebbiolo, Paso Robles, California

A historic winery, Caprone Wines have been making Italian varietal wines in California successfully since the 1970s. Through Dave Caparone's intensive dedication and research Caparone was the first succesful California producer to produce Sangiovese and Aglianico and was the second producer for Nebbiolo.
 
This wine has classic Nebbiolo aromas of anise, leather and tar. On the palatte you have a youthful tannic presence and a vibrant acidity. Accompanied by notes of red cherry and roses with a backbone of anise and spice.
